Students may get disaster prep

A program that could help schools during times of disasters and certify students in skills such as first aid will likely soon be implemented in the Columbia School District.

Columbia Police Chief Michael Kelly spoke to the school board Nov. 15 about the premise, and Superintendent Jason Harris said it could help the district.
