Watts sentence upheld

The Mississippi Supreme Court has declined to hear the case of a man convicted of murdering and sexually assaulting a 10-year-old Columbia girl in 1993.

That means the state Court of Appeals’ decision to uphold the life without parole sentence of James Earnest “Squirrel” Watts stands.
