Up to 90 percent of the felony cases in Marion County could be linked to drug use, according to District Attorney Hal Kittrell.
Two people have been charged in connection with the theft of a vehicle from a Columbia used auto dealership.
Last Friday, the Columbia Police Department with the help of the Hattiesburg Police Department arrested Tyree “Magic” Ross, 33, of Bassfield, and Jessica Rasha Cochran, 22, of Columbia and charged them with the theft.
Columbia firefighters quickly contained a fire at the Dollar General located at 650 U.S. 98 Thursday afternoon.
As a Columbia business continues to expand, employees need more parking and a county owned piece of property could be the answer.
