A man who lives near the Marion-Walthall county line remains in jail after allegedly fleeing arrest in a stolen car at speeds of up to 120 mph before crashing near Kokomo Road.
The Marion County School District will not make up days missed due to inclement weather on Jan. 17 and Jan. 18.
School Board Member Larry Jenkins asked during the Feb. 15 meeting if by missing the days the District would be within the 180-day window required by the state.

Jasmine Starr Bedwell, 23, was sentenced Tuesday by Judge Tony Mozingo in Marion County Circuit Court to serve seven mandatory years for smuggling a pipe and crystal methamphetamine into the Marion County Jail.
