This photo of the “Skeeterville School” was taken circa 1895 to 1900. The teacher, Catherine “Katie” Josephine Denson, is on the back row, third from the left. She holds what appears to be a long riding crop or whip in her right hand. Katie later married Albert Terry of the Terry’s Chapel area near Foxworth.
