Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, in Magee City Cemetery in Magee, for Carlyn Caughman Hahn, 101, of Columbia, who passed away Wednesday, May 20 in Columbia. Charlie Hahn and Bro. Millard Moak officiated at the services.






Event delays continue

As COVID-19 cases in Marion County hit the 100 mark this week, plans are still being affected by the pandemic.

With the safer-at home order still in place, the annual Memorial Day service at the Marion County Courthouse is being postponed with plans to be held at a later date.




Police adding holiday patrols

Memorial Day is a time to reflect and remember those who gave their lives in service of our country. It is also known as the unofficial kickoff to summer, which means more people will be on the roads.

The Columbia Police Department encourages everyone to always have a plan to get home safely and to never drink and drive.
