A head-on collision on Mississippi 35 North that claimed the lives of two people and left three with life-threatening injuries remains under investigation.
Thursday the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency announced that Marion County has been included for federal public assistance from FEMA regarding the Pearl River flooding in February.

Marion County residents and property owners hit by the April 19 tornado have until July 20 to submit applications for federal aid.
But the U.S. Small Business Administration encourages businesses, nonprofits, homeowners and renters to go ahead and get that done as soon as possible.
