Burn ban lifted

Gov. Phil Bryant lifted a statewide burn ban Monday after a series of rains brought some color and moisture back to what had been a parched landscape.

Also, the Marion County ban expired on Tuesday.

Bryant enacted the statewide ban Oct. 2 after one of the driest and hottest Septembers in state history.
