MLK celebrations planned Monday


Schools and government offices will be closed Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and the annual parade will roll at 1 p.m.

“We’ll be lining up beginning at noon in the Citizens Bank parking lot off Main Street,” the Rev. R.T. McGowan, president of the local chapter of the NAACP, said. “Each year we’ve had a good turnout.”
