The following marriage license applications were received by the Marion County Circuit Clerk’s Office during the week of Nov. 13:
• Tyler Williams Phillips of Foxworth and Chelsea Rae Gartman of Foxworth.
• Ty Chisum Buchner of Foxworth and Breanna Marie Breland of Foxworth.
Marion County’s state senator says she wants to work to reduce the cost of car tags and that the new internet sales tax revenues might help.
State Sen. Angela Hill called car tags “a sore subject with everybody” at the Marion County Development Partnership’s “Catchy Friday.”
As the Columbia School District adds more “homemade” options to its menu, the number of students utilizes the food service is increasing.
