Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2019, in Cook Galloway Chapel for Marguerite Odom, 74, of Anchorage, Alaska, who died on Wednesday, March 6 in Anchorage. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. Derek Mingo will officiate at the services. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday, March 29, and from 9 a.m. until the time of the services on Saturday, March 30 in Cook Galloway Chapel.
She was born on July 30, 1944, in New Orleans.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hardy “Tunch” and Helen Pittman, and brothers, James Pittman, Henry Pittman and Billy Thompson.
Survivors include her sisters, Carolyn Dunbar, Arlene Brewer and Shirley Newell; brothers, Hardy Pittman Jr., Bill Thompson (Bobby) and Sammy Ray Thompson; former spouse, Norman Odom Sr.; five children, Pamela, Gary, Keesha, Sebrina and Norma Jr.; granddaughter whom she raised, Tatyana; grandchildren, Eric, Shaquille, Alijah, Dominique, Michael, Erica, Christopher, Vanessa, Taylor, Marisa, Payton and Ebony; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
