Flossie Agnes McNeese
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 25, 2019, at Bethel Baptist Church for Flossie Agnes McNeese, 87, of Bassfield, who died on Friday, Nov. 22 in Columbia. Burial followed in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24 at Colonial Funeral Home and from 2 p.m. until the time of the services on Monday, Nov. 25 at Bethel Baptist Church.
A longtime resident of Bassfield, she was primarily a seamstress who worked for various companies including Movie Star Inc. and was also a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward “Pete” McNeese; son, Robert McNeese; parents, Sherman Mason and Perlie Mayes Mason; brothers, James Mason, Otho Mason, Cassie Mason and Elmer Mason, and granddaughter, Amy Graham.
Survivors include her daughter, Angela Williamson (David) of Columbia; three sons, Faron McNeese of Tylertown and Doug McNeese (Freida) and Anthony “Bo” McNeese (Kim), both of Bassfield; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family members and friends.
