Thomas Franklin Graham III
Services will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2020, at Hathorn Funeral Home for Thomas Franklin Graham III, 72, of Columbia, who died on Saturday, May 16. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend.
He was born in Columbia on March 1, 1948, to the late Pauline Abbot and Thomas Franklin Graham II and was the youngest of four children. He grew up in Sandy Hook before moving back to Columbia where he graduated from Columbia High School in 1966. He then attended Hinds Junior College in Jackson. In December of 1980, he married his wife, Marie Kester Graham of Columbia.
His early professional career was spent in the banking industry. After leaving the banking industry, he had a long career in the oil business serving as a lease operator for various corporations, including Gulf Oil and Shell Oil Company.
He was very proud of his family. He was especially proud of his children, grandchildren, and great- grandchild. His favorite pastimes included golf, baseball, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandkids. He was also a member of the men’s Sunday School class at the First United Methodist church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Polly Woodward.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Kester Graham; son, Elijah Franklin Graham (Amanda); daughters, Stacey Quiriconi, Nichelle Zion (Wesley) and Cathy Arinder; sisters, Pam White of Clinton and Ann Villeret of Jackson; six grandchildren, William Harris (Haley), Marlin Zion, Hailey Brumfield, Jadyn Eaton, Karamia Quiriconi and Charlotte Graham; one great-granchilddaughter, Aubrey Harris, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
