Break-ins a by-product of drug epidemic

Unfortunately, at the same time several investors are putting money into downtown Columbia buildings, a rash of burglaries is hitting existing stores here.

The latest and most prominent one came at the Marion County Courthouse over Labor Day weekend and remains under investigation.
