The 13th Annual Running with Caleb 5k is scheduled for March 16 at Friendship Park in Columbia. The 5k takes runners and walkers through the beautiful streets of Columbia and historic downtown.
The 5k is held in memory of Caleb Coleman, a student from Columbia Academy, who passed away November 13, 2011, at 15 years of age.
Numerous awards are given out on the day of the race including the Just on Time Award that is the time closest to Caleb’s State Championship time in cross country.
The money raised from the event goes toward scholarships for a male and female senior athlete at Columbia Academy.
Participants can register online at RaceRoster.com or in person the morning of the event. The 5k will begin at 8am and registration starts at 7am.
