The Columbian-Progress has been serving the Marion County community since 1882. Our newspaper's goal has always been to provide the highest quality local news and sports coverage and the most effective advertising options for businesses in our area. The Columbian-Progress is published on Thursday every week and is filled with local content that cannot be found anywhere else. The C-P has a long history of doing award-winning work, including earning six General Excellence awards as the top overall newspaper of its size in the state. Most recently, the C-P has won General Excellence in back-to-back years and three times in the past six years.
In addition to the newspaper, The Columbian-Progress produces five annual magazines (Wedding Belles, MC Living, Profile, Graduation and Football Preview), eight other special section and multiple sports posters. The Phone Book is the only Marion County telephone directory that provides residents and businesses with the option of having their cellular phone numbers listed. Our phone book also features larger print and is much easier to read than other directories.
