Three Marion County gas stations, all owned by Imaduddin Aiyash, were raided Thursday morning, leading to the 44-year-old Hattiesburg man being charged with drug trafficking. The Valero gas station on S. High School Avenue, one of the three that was raided, was closed Friday, although it is not known at this time whether the closure is temporary or permanent.
The other two Marion County stores that were raided included Pit Stop Express II at the corner of High School Avenue and Lafayette Street and the Marathon gas station on U.S. 98 West in Foxworth.
The raids were centered on stores selling alcohol, vapes, THC and other items to underage individuals.
The operation included various other counties throughout the Pine Belt as the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), FBI, Homeland Security, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and several local agencies, including the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Columbia Police Department, assisted.
