Grayce Bales and Hunter Moak were united in marriage on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, at The Barn at Bridlewood in Hattiesburg while surrounded by family friends and love.
The bride is the daughter of Daniel and Deedra Bales of Bogue Chitto. She is the granddaughter of Donna Bales and the late Ronnie Bales, as well as the late JP and Nelda Moak.
She is a 2021 graduate of North Pike High School and is currently pursuing a degree in elementary education at the University of Southern Mississippi. She is expected to graduate in late 2025 and is now a part of the Wildcat faculty in Columbia.
The groom is the son of Jonathan Moak of Goss and Megan Culpepper of Carson. His paternal grandparents are Deborah and Richard Bonds of Goss and Bruce Wayne Moak of Summit. His maternal grandparents were Ethel Kirkland Culpepper of Silver Creek and Charles Thomas Polk Jr. of Prentiss. He is also blessed to have one living great-grandfather, Charles Thomas “Tommy” Polk Sr. of Brookhaven.
He graduated from Columbia High School in 2022 and earned his HVAC Technician certification from PRCC in 2024. He is now co-owner of the family
business, Moak’s Heating & Cooling, based in
Columbia.
