Lincoln Jack Carney of Columbia recently served as a page for the Mississippi Senate. Pages generally run errands for officials and Senate staff. Lincoln is pictured with Lt. Governor Delbert Hosemann and Senator Joey Fillingane, who sponsored his visit. Lincoln is the son of Jerron and Holly Carney and attends Woodlawn Preparatory. When asked about the week, Lincoln said, "This was my first-time paging for the Mississippi Senate. Though it took a lot of convincing to get me to come, I ended up really enjoying it and learning so much. Being able to watch the Mississippi Senate in action is something I will never forget."

When asked about the week, Jane said, “This was my second time paging for the Mississippi Senate, which testifies to how much I enjoyed it both times. Being able to witness Mississippi politics firsthand and learning how much effort our senators make to benefit Mississippi have been opportunities I will be forever grateful for. In addition to that, I’ve also made great friendships with my fellow pages.”
