On Saturday, September 28, 2024, Cartier Aviation officially opened its doors with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Columbia/Marion County Airport. Following the cutting of the ribbon, founder Ed Cartier, Jr. flipped the switch on the automatic hangar door revealing the interior of the newly-constructed facility. The business offers top-tier aviation maintenance, repair, and modification services, marking a significant development for the local economy and airport facility.

Aviation expert Cartier brings more than 30 years of aviation experience to Columbia. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he has spent decades working on a wide range of aircraft, from aerial refuelers and bombers to VIP and reconnaissance planes, with expertise in avionics and aircraft electrical systems. Cartier’s career has taken him across the globe, serving in various roles, including positions with major contractors overseas and stateside.
