The Columbia High School cheerleading team earned two top-5 finishes at the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship at Disney World in Orlando, Fla. The Wildcats placed third in Game Day and fifth in Traditional.
The Wildcats include seniors Gabby Simms (captain), Cayla Daniel (co-captain), Sydney Anderson (co-captain) and Kaylee Ryals (co-captain), juniors Cara Baker, Avy Barnes, Malyn Lepp, Emma Grace Sanders, Lizzy Speights, JJ Sellers and Addison Turnage, sophomores Violet Blackard, Brooklyn Baughman, Karaline Davis, Heidi Hilburn, Mari Claire Johnson and Kaiya Scott and freshmen Analeigh Baker, Madison Exposé, Layla Kate Fortenberry, Jada Holloway, Aubrie Lucas and Audrey Wallace. They are led by head coach Makayla McNease and assistant coach Amanda Thornhill.
