How to become a physician

I read with much interest the front page article in The Enterprise-Tocsin by Bryan Davis titled “Coming home – Aspiring surgeon Simpson to teach science at Ruleville” and, yes, I receive our hometown of Indianola’s newspaper weekly. For me this story was about a young man’s career aspirations and his planned path to achieve it.



Politicians can get too old

Delbert Hosemann is a spry 71. He has the slim build of the longtime long-distance runner he is. Although he’s not done a half-marathon in two years, he still runs 3 or 4 miles every other day and keeps a 9-minute-per-mile pace. That wouldn’t be shabby for someone 30 years younger.
