Shadarious Warren, 22, of Tylertown has been identified as the armed robber who shot a Custom Trophy & Engraving employee Thursday morning and has been charged with three felonies.
Warren attempted to rob the store around 10 a.m. Thursday, but Custom Trophy co-owner Ruby Holmes confronted him with a shotgun. While they wrestled over the shotgun, Warren allegedly pulled out a pistol and shot Holmes in the upper leg.
Holmes was transported to Hattiesburg for treatment and had to undergo surgery, but she is doing well and is in good spirits.
Warren faces felony charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and grand larceny: vehicle of another. His bond hearing is scheduled for Friday afternoon.
