The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is searching for an individual who committed an armed robbery at Custom Trophy & Engraving this morning and is on the run after shooting an employee.
A previous report about the vehicle was incorrect. The sheriff's office has identified the truck as a silver 2019 Ford F-150 truck that was picked up on security footage from a nearby business. A witness described a black male in a black hoodie with a white mask driving an older black Chevrolet single-cab pickup truck, according to the sheriff’s office.
A witness at the scene said the shooting victim is Custom Trophy co-owner Ruby Holmes, who was shot in the leg and transported to Hattiesburg for treatment. Her condition is critical, but she is in good spirits.
