A Foxworth man will serve 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to a shooting and armed robbery in two separate incidents from 2018.
Circuit Judge Prentiss Harrell handed down the sentences Sept. 19 to Antonio Deante White, 28, 87 Water Valley Road, according to court documents.
White pleaded guilty to armed robbery related to a Jan. 6, 2018, incident at Cox’s Triangle store in Foxworth and received a 40-year sentence with 20 years to serve and 20 years of post-release supervision.
He also pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in an April 22, 2018, incident where he shot at the vehicle of Devonta Cook of Columbia while Cook was in the vehicle, according to an indictment. He received a 20-year sentence on that charge to be served consecutively with the armed robbery sentence. That means both sentences will be served at the same time.
He also had to pay fines and court costs for both convictions plus $500 in restitution to Cook. In return for pleading guilty, two other charges of shooting into a dwelling and armed robbery were dismissed.
