Jane and Larry Middleton began dating while attending Columbia High School and married in 1968 after Jane graduated from the Mississippi University for Women. Larry owned several thriving businesses in Columbia and a was a prominent member of the community.

Middleton leaves a large legacy of action and kindness

The City of Columbia and a family lost a special man on March 31 when Larry Wayne Middleton died at the age of 77. Middleton was one of those people who did so much during his lifetime that it's difficult to list all of his accomplishments, activities and business ventures.

Sanders proud to be Eagle, salutatorian

East Marion schools have a special place in the heart of Gracie Sanders, the school's salutatorian.
She has attended East Marion since pre-K and both of her parents graduated from the school. It has always been one of her goals to represent the school as one of its top students, which is now a reality.
