Elite Motors sells high-end used vehicles
There’s a new car dealership in town that just opened its doors last month.
Elite Motors sells pre-owned vehicles, tires, rims, lift kits and other vehicle accessories. It also offers oil changes.
“We check the oil, go through the air filters and all of your fluids,” owner Kyle Gardner said. “We can do some front-end work; we just don’t have an alignment machine here.”
Gardner said one of his goals is to get an alignment machine in the shop to help grow the business, and he would potentially like to open another location.
Gardner said he worked in the car business for six years until one morning he woke up and decided he wanted to do it on his own.
“I started getting everything in order and put my mind to it, and that’s how it came about,” he said. “I’ve always had a love for automobiles since I was old enough to get one.”
Elite Motors also details vehicles and goes the extra mile.
“We go through them and go underneath the seats, clean them out, clean the engine bay, go through the trunks, clean all the door jams and everything. We get real in depth with our details,” Gardner said. “It’s more than just your basic wash and vacuum.”
Elite Motors has an impressive inventory of used cars that can be seen outside its 1223 U.S. 98 Bypass location.
“The biggest things we do are lifted trucks, lifted jeeps, some of the sports cars and we have your typical car, too, for an everyday person,” Gardner said.
One of the biggest sells for Elite Motors is that it has already put tires, rims and lift kits on its trucks and jeeps so customers don’t have to worry about doing it themselves after market, according to Gardner.
“We try to go above and beyond on our cleanliness, too, so it’s kind of like you’re getting a brand new car at a used price,” he said. “Another thing we do — the lifts, tires and wheels on our pickup trucks — you won’t get that at another dealership.”
Gardner also said Elite Motors will also help customers search for a specific vehicle to a certain extent.
Elite Motors has two employees who work alongside Gardner, Cecil Alford and Dustin Thornhill.
“They’re family. They’re all around and can do pretty much anything I need them to do. Most employees do one job, and that’s all they can do. My guys here, I’ve taught them all I know and we can do it all around,” Gardner said.
Gardner said he believes Elite Motors will succeed because its first priority is to make its customers happy.
“As long as the customer is happy, then we’re doing our job. I know it’s cliché to say that, but if the customer is happy they are always going to come back,” he said. “When you build a customer base, that’s success.”
Elite Motors can be reached at (601) 633-0862 or elitemotorsms.com. It is open Monday through Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., Thursday from 12:30 until 6:30 and Friday 8:30 until 5:30.
