At the Marion County Courthouse, city and county officials, as well as community members, gathered to recognize Child Abuse Awareness Month with a ceremony honoring both survivors and those who advocate for them.
Lauren Street, Education and Outreach Coordinator for Kids Hub, expressed deep gratitude for the county’s ongoing support. Street thanked Marion County for its commitment to protecting children and investing in their future, emphasizing the importance of community partnerships in ensuring kids have the resources they need to succeed. She highlighted the day as not only a celebration of children’s bravery, but also a recognition of the daily efforts made by those working to keep them safe.
“We truly cannot do the work that we do without you,” Street said, acknowledging the collective role the community plays in supporting and uplifting vulnerable children.
