A fire that burned several cars and scrap metal and spread to nearby trees at M&M Scrap March 25 is under investigation. Multiple fire departments, led by the Foxworth Volunteer Fire Department, extinguished the fire. There were no injuries.
The fire at M&M Scrap, which was called in at 9:41 a.m. March 25, was put out by the combined efforts of the Foxworth, Columbia, Tri-Community, South Marion, Southwest Marion, Morgantown and Pine Burr fire departments. The cause of the fire remains unknown and is under investigation.
