A house on Tolar Road off of Mississippi 44 is a total loss following a fire Wednesday afternoon that brought it to the ground within 20 minutes of being reported.
Tri-Community Fire Department received the call around 12:40 p.m. and responded with three engines, a tanker and a squad truck, according to Deputy Chief Tyler Creel. He said he was the first on the scene and that the fire was fully involved when he arrived.
Foxworth and Morgantown fire departments were called for backup and sent trucks and firefighters to assist.
Shortly after arriving the call was made that the main priority should be to keep the fire from spreading into the woods with the home a total loss. The property is owned by Katie Fulton.
The cause is under investigation, according to Creel.
