Memorial services will be held at a later date for Donald Elvin Terry, 65, of Gulfport, who died on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021, in Pascagoula.
He was born in Brookhaven on Jan. 21, 1956, to Ray and Florine Terry as a first anniversary gift. In early 1958, the Terry family moved to Columbia to make it their home. He attended the Columbia public schools. After moving through Mississippi, he finally settled in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clell and Mae Fuller and Early and Hazel Terry; parents, Ray “Pop” Terry (Merry) and Florine Terry Brockman (Joe); brother, Rusty Dixon Hutson; sister, Darla Terry Blessitt, and brothers-in-law, Steve Sumrall and Arthur Harrell.
Survivors include his sisters, Vicky Terry McNeese (Michael), Judy Sumrall and Annette Harrell; brother, Clifton Dixon (Lois); one daughter, Christina Terry Hollie (Michael); 2 granddaughters, Nickie Hollie and Kandie Williamson; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
