The Columbia School District has scheduled its public hearing on the proposed budget for the 2020 fiscal year for June 25.
The school board is proposing keeping the property tax rate at 55 mills.
Business Manager Kim Rogers said Thursday she was pleased with how the budget was coming and and that there are no major changes. She said she was still working on federal funds allocations.
Regarding the teachers’ pay raises, she said teachers that are certified in the state will receive their increase with state funds and the federally certified teachers will receive theirs through federal funds.
The meeting will be held in the Columbia School District Administration Building at 5 p.m. June 25.
The public is invited to attend.
