A Marion County grand jury has indicted a Kentucky man on charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault.
James Brumfield, 37, of Oak Grove, Ky., is being held at the Marion County Jail on $10,000 bond for the two felony charges.
The indictment alleges that on June 11, 2018, in Marion County that Brumfield attempted to kill Rakeem Watson by stabbing him multiple times with a knife but that Watson survived.
The indictment also alleges that on that same day Brumfield stabbed Jeffery Green in the back with a knife.
Brumfield is scheduled to appear in Marion County Circuit Court on Aug. 8.
Attempted murder carries a sentence of 20 years to life and aggravated assault one year to 20 years.
