A Kokomo man died early Friday in a one-vehicle crash in Lawrence County.
Landon Scott Williamson, 25, was killed when his 2004 Lincoln left Mississippi 27 south of Monticello near Calhoun Lane and struck a tree, according to Cpl. Brandon Fortenberry of Troop M of the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
Williamson was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no passengers in his vehicle and the cause of the crash is unknown. The accident remains under investigation by the MHP.
Williamson, the son of Rusty and Rhonda Williamson, was a 2010 graduate of West Marion High School. He was employed by USAccess Mats in Monticello.
Williamson’s funeral was held Monday at Pine Grove Pentecostal Church and burial was in the Pine Grove Pentecostal Church Cemetery.
