The Mississippi Lottery Corporation recently made its September transfer into the state treasury fund in the amount of $8,201,767.
The total amount transferred to the state in the current fiscal year (2021) is $26,508,657. The total amount transferred during fiscal year 2020, when the lottery first began, was $70,730,502.
The first $80 million in proceeds from ticket sales go toward state infrastructure, and any amount after that is earmarked for education.
