Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies are seeking a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred last weekend.
Capt. Pete Williams said the robbery took place on Jan. 6 around 2:30 a.m. in Foxworth.
“An armed male entered Cox’s on U.S. 98 and ordered the clerk to open the register,” he said. “The suspect fired a shot and took an undisclosed amount of cash. He then fled the scene.”
Williams added that the clerk was uninjured.
“Deputies arrived quickly and canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspect,” he said. “Investigators processed the scene and are following up on leads in the case.”
