Two teenagers from Carriere have been charged with head lighting deer in Marion County.
Drake Bertucci and Tommy Bilbo, both 18, were booked at 2 a.m. Sunday at the Marion County Jail. They’re charged with head lighting deer, hunting from a public road and hunting from a motorized vehicle, and bond was set for each of them at $2,000.
A jail report indicates the arresting officer was from the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks.
State regulations say anyone who hunts or kills a deer with a lighting device faces a maximum fine of $5,000, five days in jail and the loss of hunting privileges for three years.
