The Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department held its annual board meeting on April 22. New officers and board members were elected to serve for the next year.
Officers submitted their annual reports and discussed goals for the upcoming year. Some of the major accomplishments from the Annual Chief’s Report include:
• 58 active and trained firefighters and nine administrative members on roster
• No major fire department injuries or automobile accidents
• Received record-shattering donations for mail out totaling $172,565
• From donations, purchased and put in service 24 Scott X3 Pro SCBAs (air packs).
• From donations, purchased and put in service new 6000 PSI cascade system on Squad 1.
• Received a $90,000 grant from round 12 of the Mississippi Rural Fire Truck Acquisition Assistance Program
• Purchased a 2019 Rosenbauer 1800-gallon 1250 GPM Engine
• Added Airport Road Station 6, increasing coverage to residents within the district.
