Two people have been charged in connection with the theft of a vehicle from a Columbia used auto dealership.
Last Friday, the Columbia Police Department with the help of the Hattiesburg Police Department arrested Tyree “Magic” Ross, 33, of Bassfield, and Jessica Rasha Cochran, 22, of Columbia and charged them with the theft.
According to a Columbia Police Department report, on Aug. 1, a white, 2005 Nissan Altima was taken from Professional Auto Sales on South High School Avenue. The vehicle had been spotted several times in the Hattiesburg area and Hattiesburg Police were contacted by CPD investigators.
Ross is charged with grand larceny of a motor vehicle. Cochran is charged as an accessory after the fact to the larceny of a motor vehicle.
Both remained in the Marion County Jail as of Tuesday morning.
