A VacsUpMS event to encourage people to be vaccinated will be begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday at New Life Fellowship Church on Eagle Day Drive. With the pandemic still rearing its ugly head, the goal is to get more people vaccinated to lessen the spread of the coronavirus.
There will be free food and music at the church, along with a chance for someone to win $1,000 for getting vaccinated.
The event will take part twice, once for those receiving the first dose of the vaccine, and a second one will be scheduled upon approval from the Mississippi Department of Health for everyone to get their second dose.
