A Marion County grand jury has indicted a 14-year-old as an adult on a sexual battery charge.
According to the indictment that was handed down Oct. 15, Isaiah Henderson of Sumrall is charged with sexual battery of a 21-month-old while he was 13.
The indictment said between Sept. 6 and Sept. 7, 2018, the incident took place in the northern part of the county. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office received a call from Marion General Hospital on Sept. 7, 2018, and upon investigation between the sheriff’s office and Child Protective Services, Henderson was arrested and charged with sexual battery of someone at least 24 months younger than him.
Henderson’s bond has been set at $25,000.
