Wildcats, Eagles shine at 2024 Wildcat Invitational

Runners, jumpers and throwers from 10 schools across the surrounding area flocked to Gardner Stadium March 7 for the 2024 Wildcat Invitational. Among those were East Marion and host Columbia, with each school walking away with some gold.

Eagles scratch a pair of wins on spring break

With East Marion High out for spring break, the Eagles hosted a matinee doubleheader Monday against West Lincoln and Tylertown. Though the Eagles fell in the opener to West Lincoln, East Marion held on for a 12-11 victory over Tylertown in what head coach Janone Watts hopes will be a tide-turning victory going forward.

The Trojans used the likes of Kolby Stringer and Trace McDonald, above, to force extra innings in both games at Purvis March 6 and March 7. Trojans prove themselves at Purvis
