Heading into the evening of Sept. 11, the Columbia Academy Lady Cougars’ playoff hopes seemed bleak at best after having only one district victory all season. CA defeated Silliman Institute 9-2 at home that night, and it defeated Bowling Green on the road 15-2 the very next night.
