On Tuesday, Oct. 22, the Marion County Carl Loftin Career & Technology Center hosted its annual College & Career Fair. Juniors and seniors across the county were invited to connect with more than 50 businesses, colleges and military recruiters.
Approximately 400 students from Columbia Academy, Columbia High School, East Marion High School, New Hope Community Christian School, West Marion High School and Woodlawn Preparatory School attended the fair.
Highlights of the event included door prizes provided by exhibitors, drinks and water donated by the Hattiesburg Coca-Cola Bottling Company and a variety of informational materials and student favors from exhibitors. Light refreshments were also available for exhibitors courtesy of the Marion County Career & Technology Center.
The Marion County Career and Technology Center extends a heartfelt thanks to all participating businesses, colleges, military personnel and students, as well as the City of Columbia for the use of the Columbia Exposition Center.
Businesses interested in participating in the 2025 fair are encouraged to contact Melissa Taylor at the Marion County Career & Technology Center.
This event provided a valuable opportunity for students to engage with potential future employers and educational institutions, fostering connections that can guide their career paths.
