Marion County 4-H’ers won big at the 2025 Dixie National Jr. Roundup.
The livestock project is one of the oldest and most popular 4-H activities. Youth select newly weaned animals and provide daily care for them. This care not only includes feeding and watering but exercising and daily grooming. 4-H members hone their own showmanship skills as they practice daily to perfect the presentation of their livestock projects.
Abby Tolar’s animals were named Champion Simbrah Heifer and Bull. Kayl Tassin showed the Champion Red Angus Heifer and had top-5 finishes with both her Angus and Simmental heifers. Caitlyn Robbins also had a great showing with top-10 finishes with her cattle. Maddy Tolar had a great day at the Dairy Goat show, winning Supreme Commercial Sr. Dairy Doe and Champion Nubian Doe. Emmy Tolar finished her 4-H livestock career strong with a Reserve Champion AOP Doe.
The excitement continued with sisters, Abby and Emmy Tolar, receiving scholarships at this year’s Dixie National Sale of Champions ceremony.
