A nationally known seamstress and quilter, Linda McGehee, will give a free program on a creative quilting technique called spiraling, on Saturday, September 16, at 10:00 a.m. The program will be given at The Marion County Museum & Archives. McGehee will give a presentation and demonstration of spiraling which can be used in quilting, clothing, purses and pillows. McGehee will also have some items for sale, such as sewing patterns and notions.
McGehee’s business is “Ghees” at ghees.com. She lives in Shreveport, LA, however her family roots are deep in Marion County. Her great grandfather was Doctor. George Albert Brumfield who practiced medicine here in the early 1900’s.
