The Marion County Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with the Columbia Police Department, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, DEA and District 2 Constable Robbie Gill, executed a sting operation that began on Saturday, leading to 27 arrests for major drug crimes.
The narcotics operation led to the seizure of 244.82 grams of methamphetamine, 2.88 grams of cocaine, 2.46 grams of crack cocaine, 1.32 grams of fentanyl, 40 dosage units of methamphetamine/ecstasy and 60 dosage units of controlled opiates as well as numerous firearms, according to the sheriff’s office.
The operation began early Saturday morning with a pair of search warrants and continued throughout the day into Sunday with targeted arrest warrants. The operation also included saturation patrol that led to further arrests, according to the sheriff’s office.
Those arrested include:
Larry Kirksey: sale or transfer of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school.
Jason Williamson: felony possession.
Leonard Ramon Perez Conerly: possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
Kelsey Martin: felony possession.
Venetia Griffin: felony possession.
Stevie Quinn: sale or transfer of a controlled substance.
Linda Warren: sale or transfer of a controlled substance within 1500 feet of a Church.
Clifton Dixon: felony possession.
Johnny Turnage: felony possession.
Jaylen Gaddis: possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
Kendrick Robertson: sale of a controlled substance and tampering with evidence.
Glenda Thomas: sale or transfer of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school or church.
Jonathan Jordan: trafficking and conspiracy to sell or transfer a controlled substance.
Yolanda Nicole Johnson: sale or transfer within 1,500 feet of a school or church.
Shanarius Ray: sale or transfer of a counterfeit substance within 1,500 feet of a church.
Tobias Walker: trafficking and four counts of the sale or transfer of a controlled substance.
Jack Walker: three counts of the sale or transfer of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a church and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
Doye Blansett: two counts of sale or transfer of a controlled substance and MDOC warrant.
Glen Tyrone Alexander: sale or transfer of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a church.
Burnett Flowers: sale or transfer of a controlled substance.
Terry Kendricks: three counts of the sale or transfer of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a park and MDOC violation.
Clarence Peters: sale or transfer of a controlled substance.
Melissa Gardner: felony possession.
Patricia Lee: felony possession.
Gregory Lee: felony possession.
Jessie Cowart: misdemeanor possession, MDOC violation.
Ryan Harrell: MDOC warrant.
The operation remains ongoing as the sheriff’s office reported there are still 11 individuals with outstanding warrants as part of the operation.
“These coordinated enforcement efforts reflect the ongoing commitment of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and partnering agencies to combat illegal narcotics activity and enhance public safety within the community,” the sheriff’s office said in a press release.
