West Marion's show choir "New Era" continued its season with its second and third competitions of the year over the past two weeks at Pearl River Community College and Oak Mountain High School in Birmingham, Ala.
On Jan. 31, New Era competed in the Mississippi Show Choir & A Cappella Invitational at PRCC in Poplarville.

On Saturday, Nov. 1, Bobby and Mattie Reed celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends at Berry’s Restaurant in Florence. They were married on Nov. 1, 1975. They give God the glory for giving them 50 years together.
