NATIONAL SUMMARY
As several disturbances move eastward tomorrow, severe
thunderstorms will be a threat across much of the Southeast
and mid-Atlantic. This is most likely from East Texas into
northern Georgia and the Carolinas, and northward into
southern New Jersey and southeastern Pennsylvania. Flash
flooding, frequent lightning, damaging winds and a few
tornadoes will all be possible, mainly during the afternoon
and evening hours. Additional showers and storms, some
heavy, are also likely in New England and the interior
Northeast. Meanwhile, high heat will be in place from
Southern California to much of Texas. High temperatures are
likely to exceed 110 degrees Fahrenheit in the low deserts,
while much of the Lone Star State will reach the triple
digits.
