The Nation's Weather for Monday, July 24, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms are expected to fire up tomorrow in parts of
the Northeast and mid-Atlantic. While most of the storms
will erupt west of Interstate 95 and will therefore miss
some of the big cities, the region has had significant rain
the last month and a half and therefore could experience
some flooding. Storms are also expected to pop up over the
Rockies. The thunderstorms will be scattered but anything
that does fire up could produce heavy rain and strong winds.
Iowa and Missouri will likely have some strong thunderstorms
in the afternoon which could produce damaging winds and
flooding downpours. The Southwest will remain dangerously
hot with temperatures expected to surpass 110 degrees
Fahrenheit once again in Phoenix, Arizona. Seattle will
likely receive measurable rain for the first time this
month.
